There are many combinations and we recommend taking any of these tours with a naturalist biological guide. one would be the "Corcovado by Plane" tour where you fly to Sirena biological station and spend the morning hiking through the rainforest and the afternoon canoeing up the Sirena River.
Another option is to taxi to the entrance, hike the trail to Sirena and to an awesome, designated waterfall, enjoy lunch and swim in the waterfall.
Highlights include excellent changes to see tapirs, agoutis, coati, white-lipped peccary, spider, squirrel, howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, toucans, scarlet macaws, fresh tracks of jaguars and more - it is a real jungle!
It is a good idea to bring a waterproof pouch, camera, binoculars, bathing suit and insect repellant.
